Four Years of Chupathingy!

Posted by RamsesDecember 3, 2009 at 10:29 pm

Chupathingy celebrates its fourth anniversary on Akama! What better way to honor the occasion than to spend the evening raiding? After 1,460 days and twelve patches later, we're still going strong!

We're so good at this game that Vezax lost 9 million health since last week. Yay!

Not Two, But One Shot...

Yes, the boss that drops better loot than 25-man Algalon is one-shottable.

They say crafting a Val'anyr has as much to do with blind luck as it does skill or dedication. Fortunately, Murderkitten has had some experience with that.

Grats on the guild first legendary.

Even nerfed content is difficult if you want it to be. And in that sense, we're pretty amazing.

Wow... Really?

Really?

Heartbreaker

Posted by RamsesJune 17, 2009 at 12:28 am

After several interesting wipes, the guild was able to successfully loot ilevel 239 cloth bracers to Painfulldead, heralding much lamentation from the spirit-phobic classes of the raid.

At least we got an achievement. Hurrah!

Yogg-Saron

The real Yogg-Saron kill happened last week. These are the sloppy seconds, figuratively and literally.

Yogg-Saron dead in heroic. Blood cells to resume normal circulation.

Zoidberg vs. Vezax

There are some general rules for killing bosses, such as not getting hit by things, and staying connected to the internet. Watch as we routinely violate them in this video.

More Muffins!

After a productive day of raiding, Chupathingy has downed Thorim, Freya and Ignis. We also had enough time to get Mimiron to phase 3, after which he promptly crushed us. It certainly looks to be a challenging fight!

[May 3rd Update] Mimiron down! Butterflies, muffins, hurrah!

Muffins!

People have been bugging me to update our front page. This is my minimum-bar attempt at appeasing them.

We've killed seven ten bosses in 25-man Ulduar, including but not limited to frosty the snowman and the crazy cat lady. In 10-man we've killed everything except Vezax and Yogg-Saron, obvious cock-blocks excluded.

I don't have many pictures to show you, so here's one of a robot we killed last week. Stay tuned for more exciting updates and stuff!

What better way to celebrate an anniversary than with clearing all raid content? Grats Chupa on defeating the 25-man and 10-Man version of Malygos!

Happy Birthday Chupathingy!

Posted by MediablitzDecember 3, 2008 at 12:36 am
Three years ago today, a low-level Tauren Shaman took his gathered 9 signatures, strode over to the Guildmaster, turned in his charter, and Chupathingy was born. From the casual, quirky leveling guild with the funny name and the innovative recruitment spam, to the PvP guild that took Menethil by surprise through coordinated water walking, to the casual raiding guild that fell off bridges and spun corehounds that they forgot to loot, to the serious raiding guild that took Kil'jaeden to 2% and is now neck and neck in the quest for the #1 Horde raiding spot, this guild has shown over and over its staying power, its innovation, its character, and its desire to have fun!

Congratulations Chupathingy on three years!

Remember, there are events on the calendar for late this evening, something about gnome punting, or something like that. :)

And, because it's not a birthday without cake:

It's a piece of cake to bake a pretty cake...

Chupa Smash!

Chupathingy has cleared the 25-man version of Naxxramas, and the Obsidian Sanctum, all within the first full week of raiding! Looks like we're off to a great start!

Leaps and Bounds

Late Saturday night, after many long hours of migraine-inducing keyboard turning, the achievements for first Blood Elf and first Orc to reach level 80 were claimed by Elzam and Ramses of Chupathingy. For the Horde, they were also the second and third characters on Akama to reach 80. No fancy tricks were involved, just a lot of questing.

Thanks to everyone who congratulated us. We couldn't do it without the amazing support from our fellow Chupas!
